Description
Essential Functions:
- The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for managing phones, scheduling and confirmng appointments, checking patients in upon arrival
- Must have experience with front desk
- Sorting and preparing billing slips for data entry.
- Entering data into the Practice Management System (Epic) ensuring information is entered accurately and timely.
- Verifying patient insurance and completion of registration process.
- Scanning documents into the electronic medical record.
- Conducting charge capture reconciliations.
- Review and respond to patient billing inquiries regarding billing concerns.
- Working knowledge of the insurance industry.
- Other clerical duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School Diploma required
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Computer literacy and typing skills required.
- Attention to detail.
- Reliability and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
