Quality Administrator - New York City


SUMMARY:


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating Special Inspection & Material Testing contract work in the city of NY, varied in Size and complexity.
  • Familiarity with Chapter 17 of the NYC building code as well as AABC; ACI; AWS; NEBB; & NICET
  • Current training in: fall protection, scaffolding and ladders, workzone safety, & minimum of 10hour OSHA construction safety.

Special Inspection Coordinator Overview:


Responsible for ensuring that all Special Inspection tasks are carried out as per chapter 17 of the NYC Building Code, documenting the construction process and inspecting each stage of construction as required by code.


Must work directly with Project Manager(s) to ensure that all projects meet the minimum standards of quality set forth by BVNA.

They must balance quality control standards, productivity, scheduling demands, & budgetary requirements.


Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients at all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver inspection reports promptly and accurately
  • Possession of a reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Willingness to pursue additional certifications to enhance professional skills and expertise
  • Aptitude for collaborative teamwork as well as the ability to work independently when necessary
  • Familiarity with relevant construction industry codes and regulations

$25 - $27
