Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:00AM to 5:00PM) extended hours may be required to support business needs
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing production Supervisors.
- Support the incorporation of Modineer policies and procedures in production operations.
- Indepth knowledge of production scheduling and work closely with production schedulers.
- Manage overtime scheduling and monitor overtime in production.
- Report production related KPI's to Business Unit Leaders on a weekly basis.
- Ensure production members are following company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for facilitating the training process of new production employees.
- Comfortable with spending at least half of your day out on the production floor.
- Working hand in hand with the Quality team to make sure that production is up to date with latest quality concerns, corrective actions, and procedures.
- Responsible for understanding and communicating manpower needs to Business Unit Leader.
- Responsible for ensuring successful new part launch in production with support from Program Management
- Carry out management directives to the production floor to encourage and achieve buyin.
- Understanding of 5S principles and constantly working to improve production floor cleanliness and efficiency.
- Involvement in all continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure Relief in Place procedures are constantly being followed and improved on.
- Effectively interact with employees across all levels of the organization (Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Production, Corporate Management, etc.).
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive management experience is a plus.
- Ability to lead and influence others to achieve targets in a diverse work environment.
- Indepth knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and process improvement methodologies including lean manufacturing and six sigma.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs.
Physical environment/working conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to go between and office and manufacturing environment daily.

Must be able to work as part of a team. Must maintain confidentiality when working on assignments.
