Description

Duties:


  • Manage promotional materials in support of the organization's educational program.
  • Provide organizational information to patrons.
  • Manage the complimentary Strategic Art Film Program per U.S. Army War College guidance.
  • Maintain unclassified office files in accordance with organization policy.
  • Manage U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center Volunteer program per Army regulations.

  • A oneyear trial period may be required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be willing to perform Temporary Duty (TDY) outside of assigned duty station 5% of the time.
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) answering questions regarding an organization's programs, 2) copying and providing information materials/handouts for organization's programs; and 3) maintaining office files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

  • TERM Appointment with option for conversion: To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
