As an ACT Commodities Sales Trader, you get to do it all, from building client relationships to identifying and sourcing suitable products, negotiating the terms and closing the deals.

As a Renewable Fuels Sales Trader you will:

  • Understand and identify arbitrage opportunities in the renewable fuels market to originate deal flow for your trade book
  • Trade a variety of certificates on our Renewable Fuels Desk
  • Create strategic trade solutions to ensure obligated parties reach their compliance goals
  • Identify key markets and originate new business to increase market share, while contributing to the growth of the existing book of business
  • Source and build business relationships with major biofuel producers and blenders
  • Develop an understanding of the landscape within the market including product knowledge, industry challenges, legislative and geopolitical changes.
  • Represent the firm at conferences and engage with stakeholders within the industry

Qualifications:


  • 36 years in a sales, trading or brokerage role
  • Highly selfmotivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly
  • Ambitious, innovative and team oriented with a commercial skillset
  • Presentation and client communication skills are essential
  • An individual that learns quickly and is curious about the renewable fuels industry
  • Undergraduate Degree in Economics, Business, Agriculture, Finance, Environmental Studies or a related field

Salary Range:
$90,000-$115,000 + discretionary bonus

Actual base pay may vary based on various factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, level and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.
