Job Summary
The Production Technician is responsible for assembling and wiring various control
panels, PLC control panels, pump panels, motor starters, cable sets and custom control
panels.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Understand, read, and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings
- Follow written guidelines and instructions provided to accurately assemble control and distribution equipment and products
- Assemble and wire PLC control panels, pump panels, motor starters, cable sets, and custom control panels according to layout & pointtopoint wiring diagrams
- Carry out assignments to completion within parameter of instruction given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Adhere to the company's standard operating procedures
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines set by production schedule while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
- Make corrections on drawings that will be incorporated in asbuilt drawings as need
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures
- Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in electrical wiring/manufacturing of motor control centers and/or industrial control panels
- Be familiar with the functionality of electrical components used in manufacturing of control and distribution equipment
- Must be knowledgeable of safety standards and proper personal protection equipment used within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment
- Ability to communicate with supervising personnel
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical wiring diagrams
- Computer literacy is desired
- Excellent listening skills
- Selfmotivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Ability to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic

Education:
- High school or equivalent (preferred)
