Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room provides high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the surgical team. This role requires adherence to AORN standards and effective communication within the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Monitor patient vitals and assist in postoperative recovery
• Collaboration with surgical team for optimal patient care
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in the OR

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of experience as an RN in an Operating Room setting
• Current RN license in Virginia
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC (available on-site), PALS
