Requirements:

Preliminary Match Coordinator - Marrow Donor Program - Georgetown University Medical Center

The Preliminary Match Coordinator administers donor activities for the C.W.

Bill Young DoD Donor Center in responsibilities that include but are not limited to:


  • Work with Donor Center donor center staff, various military installations, civilian hospitals, and other National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) network partners
  • Ensure timely location of donors
  • Coordinate sample collection and medical testing of potential donors
  • Conduct medical screening information of all DoD volunteer preliminary match donors
  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards of Georgetown University Medical Center
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation


Reporting directly to the Manager of Donor Services, the Preliminary Match Coordinator works with other Donor Center staff and transplant center personnel.

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position's mode of work designation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree _preference_ for nursing or healthrelated field
  • 1 to 2 years [_note_: consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience]
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer experience and skills with word processing
  • Advanced organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with colleagues and donors of diverse backgrounds
