Job Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents
- Conduct site visits to assess the scope of work, soil conditions, and potential challenges
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for landscaping projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure precision in calculations
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive, competitive, and profitable bids
- Obtain quotes and negotiate pricing with vendors and suppliers for materials and services
- Build and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness
- Work closely with project managers to develop and manage project budgets
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and identify costsaving opportunities
- Present cost estimates and bids to clients in a clear and understandable manner
- Address client inquiries and concerns regarding project costs
- Maintain accurate records of all project estimates, bids, and related documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
- Regularly inspect our equipment, facilities, and work vehicles
Qualifications/Skills:
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment
- Strong knowledge of plant types, plant care, hardscaping, and masonry
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Landscape Estimator or in a similar role within the landscaping industry
- Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, techniques and industry trends
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Landscape Pro
Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour
Expected hours:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Landscaping: 5 years (preferred)
- Construction estimating: 3 years (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Woodbridge, CT (preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Woodbridge, CT: Relocate before starting work (required)
