The Delivery Services Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Delivery and Furniture Preparation departments. The Delivery Services Coordinator verifies and assists with processing the pay role for the Delivery and Furniture Prep departments.

This individual will also check in Delivery Drivers when they return from route, verify/complete all paperwork that is turned in, and will also check in and inventory work cell phones, iPads, and delivery truck keys.

The Delivery Services Coordinator will work with multiple departments to process merchandise to be added on or canceled from the delivery routes, and will coordinate and work with the Inventory Control and Delivery Return to Stock departments to resolve any inventory discrepancies that may occur.

Job Requirements

  • Adhere to the AFW asset protection policies and identify and prevent fraud.
  • Audit and verify Delivery Driver and Furniture Preparation payroll.
  • Knowledge of our company values of accountability, honesty and safety for our employees and customers.
  • Monitor and update the Truck Manifest (TKM) and Furniture Preparation Commission forms.
  • Identifying and reading reports, tickets and UPC labels.
  • Process addons, cancels, and special delivery orders.
  • Requires recognizing, identifying and using merchandise and necessary reports.
  • Assist with inventorying tablets, fuel cards, truck keys, and any other items as asked by the AFW management team.
  • Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency and exceed customer service expectations.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.
  • 1 Year of experience working for American Furniture Warehouse preferred but not required.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Delivery Department process and procedures.
  • Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic mathematic skills.
  • Professional Appearance.

Physical Requirements
Long periods of sitting and standing.

Concrete Flooring

Exposure to fluorescent lighting.

Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back

The Delivery Services Coordinator position requires lifting, griping, bending, kneeling, stooping and moving for 8 hours or more daily.


Requires the ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise when necessary, must be able to stand/walk and regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-50 pounds).

A pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check must be passed upon job offer.
