Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a Full Time Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. This is position is a daytime rounding role with minimal evening admitting (swing) shifts assignment.

In this role you will be: Specializing in internal medicine and being certified in hospital medicine. You will confine your practice within a hospital setting and specialize in medical issues that are relevant to your field of study. The hospitalist group is responsible for taking over the in-hospital care for our patients. You will consult health records and diagnosis taken by the patient's primary care physician. You will serve as the sole provider during the patient's hospital stay while coordinating their care.

36 FTE Physicians and 4.6 FTE Advance Practice Providers (and growing) Dedicated Nocturnist Support 7on/7off schedule with the ability to create flexible schedule with mutual agreement. Strong subspecialty support & closed ICU Growing & diverse collaborative team EMR - Epic that links all our outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as our other local hospitals in the area Growing GME Programs (current residencies - Ob/Gyn, ER, Transitional & Family Medicine - Anticipate IM residency starting 2024) Qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) H1B Visa Cap Exempt Very competitive compensation model Generous Sign on bonus Paid malpractice (including "tail coverage") Generous Annual CME Allowance Excellent benefit package Relocation allowance

Education/Qualification:

MD or DO or Equivalent Foreign Diploma

Training:

Internal Medicine Residency from ACGME accredited training program

Family Medicine Residency with minimum 3 years of experience as Hospitalist

Family Medicine Residency with Hospital Medicine Fellowship

Certification(s) and License(s):

Eligible for/Current VA Medical License

Board Certified or Board Eligible (if within 3 years of completing residency) by ABIM/ABFM

Skills

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Collaborative approach with other providers and clinical/nonclinical staff

High Emotional Quotient to be successful in complex healthcare/acute care setting

Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and manage stress in a high paced environment.

Proficiency in using EMR.

Procedural skills (not required but encouraged)
