POSITION OVERVIEW


HR Manager is responsible overseeing the HR processes and for developing and implementing training programs for both employees and grantees, managing employee development initiatives.

Reporting to the CFO/CIO, the Training and HR Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the staff is well-equipped and properly supported to deliver the Foundation's Vision, Mission and Strategy, and in cultivating a positive, effective and Christ-centered work environment.

Training:

  • Training Programs designed
  • Training Program effectiveness, including participant feedback and posttraining assessments
  • Percentage of required training completed by employees & grantees
  • Training Budget vs. Actuals

HR:


  • Timeliness and effectiveness of the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Timely renewal of the general liability and employee benefit programs
  • Compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintenance of accurate employee records.
  • Attrition rate
  • Employee satisfaction / engagement score

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Training (Primary Function)

  • Identifies training needs for both employees and grantees through indepth consultation with the Executive Leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Designs, develops, and implements training programs to address organizational needs.
  • Creates and maintains training materials, including manuals, online resources, and training aids.
  • Designs and establishes the online Learning Management System (LMS) for both employees and grantees. Also maintains the online Library of training material.
  • Works with the Executive Director and CFO/CIO to deliver the strategic program for Grantee Leadership Mentoring.
  • Works with Senior Director for Grant Administration to deliver the strategic program for Grantee Training Programs.
  • Coordinates and conducts training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and makes improvements.
  • Plans and manages training budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Maintain education and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences and workshops.

HR (Secondary Function)

  • Works with the CFO/CIO in the development of HR policies, procedures and Employee Handbook aligned with the Foundation's Vision, Mission and Values;
  • Ensures the Foundation is properly resourced to deliver its Strategy through effective recruitment, training and continuous employee development;
  • Oversees the recruitment and onboarding processes;
  • Working with relevant HR consultants, ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations;
  • Maintains and updates employee records and HR databases and files;
  • Collaborates with Executive Team to identify training needs and develop personal development plans (PDP) for the employees;
  • Maintains job descriptions and requirements for all positions, and partners with Executive Team to communicates job expectations to drive performance;
  • Facilitates the midyear and annual performance appraisal and compensation processes;
  • Works with HR partner to administer and manage employee benefits programs, facilitating the annual enrollment process and continuously enhancing the benefits programs, while ensuring all insurance policies are fully compliant with regulatory and safety standards;
  • Works with the Finance & Accounting Manager to manage the payroll function and processes;
  • Working closely with the CFO/CIO, handles employee relation matters, including counsel to staff on HRrelated issues, conflict resolution and disciplinary actions;
  • Oversees the termination and exit processes to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, to respectfully treat the departing employee and to learn and improve;
  • Cultivates a safe, secure, and Spiritfilled work environment and culture to make the Foundation an awesome place to work;
  • Plans and executes HR projects to meet specific needs of the Company.
