What you should bring:
A curiosity for learning about active transportation, including walking, cycling and micromobility in all its forms.
An interest in how local and federal policy, changing technology, roadway and network design, environmental and social factors all influence peoples mobility choices and the dynamics of how and where they travel;
An interest in practical, tactical, and sometimes strategic problem solving;

As a Junior Transportation Planner, you will perform a wide range of transportation planning and support tasks, while working directly under the guidance of more senior staff. You will be expected to learn fast and to ask questions. As your experience grows, so will your opportunities to work on more complex tasks with more independence. You will also be recognized for your contributions. Your workplace will be a combination of home, office, clients office and on-site/field visits.
Desired Skills:
Training and experience in active transportation, such as bicycle and pedestrian planning and design
Familiarity with applicable Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
Experience performing site investigations and developing recommendations
Preparing and monitoring schedules
Interpreting and preparing policy and regulatory language
Vetting and recommending planning strategies
Performing spatial and GIS-based analysis
Preparing presentation graphics
Other skills as required.

**Here's What You'll Need:**
A Bachelors degree in urban planning, engineering or related field
An internship or 1 year of Transportation Planning experience
Ability to create high quality graphic reports and presentation
Understanding of analysis required to conduct transportation planning studies
Demonstrated ability to conduct GIS analysis and prepare maps/graphics to support technical documents and public outreach efforts.
Ability to analyze data utilizing spread sheets and data base software
Ability to develop graphics using Adobe Creative Suite
