    Description

    Position Overview: The Accounting Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the accounting department focusing on financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, a deep grasp of accounting principles, and effective stakeholder communication skills. The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience in accounting and a history of driving results through process improvements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and mentor accounting professionals, including staff accountants
    • Manage month-end and year-end closing for accurate financial reporting
    • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
    • Maintain accounting policies for GAAP compliance
    • Coordinate with auditors and consultants during audits and filings
    • Analyze financial data to support management decision-making
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices
    • Collaborate with teams to support business initiatives

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred
    • Minimum of 6 years experience in accounting or finance, with 3 years in a supervisory role
    • Thorough understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
    • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities
    • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders
    • Detail-oriented with high accuracy and integrity
    • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
