Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Sell American Girl products and services, including dolls, accessories, books, and more
  • Utilize technology to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers, POS systems, and wireless devices
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays
  • Upsell additional products or services to enhance the customer's experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge of American Girl products, features, and benefits to effectively assist customers
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and replenishing as needed

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
  • Basic knowledge of technology sales and familiarity with cash registers or POS systems
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Availability to work during the American Girl National Hiring Day event on May 21st and 22nd from 11am3pm

Job Types:
Part-time, Seasonal, Temporary


Pay:
$16.00 per hour


Shift:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Morning shift
  • Night shift

Weekly day range:

  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating weekends
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute:

  • Washington, DC required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Washington, DC 20012: Relocate before starting work (required)
