    IT Senior Director, Domain Head Transformations

    Summary:

    This is an IT leadership role responsible for working hand in hand with Business stakeholders to find creative IT solutions in support of business transformations based on National Life strategic focus areas. This role serves as the single point of contact to the business and drives Business & IT transformations reporting to the CTO.

    Areas of impact include:
    • Workflow engines, Rules Management Systems, Process mapping & re-engineering, and Technical integrations
    • Example implementations:
      • IVR (Interactive Voice Recognition), CRM, Digital Transformations for internal and external customers, Enterprise-wide workflow transformations.
      • Major SaaS (Software as a Service) integrations via APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).
    • Defining value propositions with business on transformations including ROE, ROI, CBA etc.
    • Work with PMO (Project Management Office) to create the CBAs to quantify the purpose of transformations.
    Responsibilities:
    • Drive innovation through IT & business operations and mapping them to IT solutions including conceptual and ideation phases.
    • Partner with all IT verticals: Architecture, Applications, Security, Data, and others to create IT solutions that have positive impact to support business change.
    • Effectively communicate complex business requirements and processes to stakeholders and ensure proper and appropriate usage of IT solutions.
    • Provide expert knowledge in detailed technical design and technical hands-on leadership during development and implementation/release.
    • Lead, execute and manage initiatives to further enhance customer experience.
    • Collaborate effectively with outsourced IT partners.
    • Execution leadership will be measured by the ability to instill trust, value differences, have courage and create change with humility and vulnerability.
    Requirements:
    • 10+ years of hand-on experience in driving modern application solutions in the financial services industry (Life & Annuity industry experience preferred).
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems preferred.
    • Understanding of API (Application Programming Interfaces) and Queue Orchestrations.
    • Ability to effectively lead, manage and influence remote and offshore teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills required.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across business units and IT customers in the planning, development, testing, and implementation of high-quality IT solutions.
    • Action oriented with ability to take initiative, think creatively and critically.
    • The ability to demonstrably learn and grow is necessary; good coaching and mentoring skills are required to build teams.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills necessary.

    The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.

    Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position. National Life offers a competitive total rewards package which includes: a 401(k) retirement plan match; medical, dental, and vision insurance; a company funded wellness account for director and below employees; 10 paid holidays; a generous paid time off plan (22 days of combined time-off for non-exempt employees and exempt employees have discretion in managing their time, including scheduling time off in the normal course of business, but in no event will exempt employees receive less sick time than required by state or local law); 6 weeks of paid parental leave; and 6 weeks of paid family leave after a year of full-time employment.
