This is a full time position working a day shift in the main Operating Room at Northwest Houghton Hospital
Our Northwest Houghton Hospital features 4 OR's providing general surgery services and well as orthopedic , podiatry, and Endoscopy / GI services.
Evaluates perioperative patients and plans, implements and documents surgical nursing care. Performs surgical procedures under supervision of a surgeon. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.Requires an associate's degree, certification as a registered nurse first assistant (CRNFA), certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR), and at least 2 years of operating room experience.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Associates or Diploma in nursing program
Bachelor's degree in nursing
Clinical experience in area of expertise preferred for PRN 2 years in PACU required
Certification as a registered nurse first assistant (CRNFA), certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR), and at least 2 years of operating room experience
