Description

Job Summary
Under direct supervision, assist with coordinating and reviewing processes specific to supporting
transactions for deals within Fixed Income at Raymond James Financial. Helps to support maintenance
of deal and client records with confidentiality and coordinate CRM support with Bankers as needed. The
Fixed Income Operations Specialist role focuses on gaining a holistic view of fixed income sales and
trading by spending time in various support roles which could include sales administration, trading
assistance, clearing, operations, risk, and technology. Serves as a resource to all areas of the
department in resolving questions and problems. Assist with resolving or recommending solutions to non complex problems. Results are evaluated at agreed upon milestones for effectiveness. Routine contact
with internal and external customers is required to identify, research and resolve problems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stays uptodate with evolving regulatory changes and market events impacting the business
  • Performs data collection and analysis in compliance with program requirements to assist in identifying, analyzing and recommending changes
  • Assist with the preparation of written recommendations on the effectiveness of assigned business processes and prepares follow up plans to ensure recommendations are addressed
  • Provide data reports in a timely manner as requested
  • Assists with special projects, as required.
  • Provide support to our sales and trading teams and assist with everything from trade execution to settlement processes
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement new sales and trading processes, procedures and strategies
  • Understand the processes from the Front to Back lifecycle of a trade
  • Stay updated on industry and regulatory developments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with sales and trading associates across the Capital Markets area
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold ethical standards at all times.
  • Develop competency and utilize systems including Bloomberg, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Specified projects and assignments, which may vary
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

  • Fundamental concepts, principles, and process of Fixed Income regulatory requirements and needs.
  • Strong proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Operations and systems in assigned functional area.
  • General customer operations and financial industry knowledge.

  • Understanding policies and procedures of banking regulations
  • Analytical skills in reviewing, analyzing and evaluating documents pertaining to regulations and business deals
  • Accurately tracking data for reporting and metrics
