- Holidays: There are 11 paid holidays each year.
- General Leave: Leave banks are granted to employees after six months of full-time employment. General Leave may be used for vacations, personal business, illness, or other reasons as requested by the employee and approved by his/her supervisor.
- Other Paid Time Off: Jury Duty, Injury Leave, and Military leave are also available to employees.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP): We provide a confidential Employee Assistance Program to help support you and your family on any issue of concern. Eight private counseling sessions are available on a range of needs including, but not limited to marital issues, parenting concerns, grief counseling, supervisor issues, and drug and alcohol abuse.
- Tuition Reimbursement: The City provides a tuition reimbursement program that reimburses qualified educational expenses.
- Eligibility for Pay Increases: Employees are eligible for a pay increase during their annual appraisal following a successful evaluation. Pay increases do not come at the time of the six-month introductory evaluation.
- Employee Home Ownership Program: To encourage employees to reside within the City limits of Commerce City, we may provide a secured loan for the down payment and/or closing cost assistance on a home in Commerce City. The employee must meet all City criteria as well as first mortgage underwriting criteria.
- Personal Computer Employee Purchase Program: To encourage the development of employee computer skills, the City offers an interest-free loan to you for the purchase of computer hardware (including a Desktop or Laptop) and software. The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.
- Recreation Center Membership: Employees and family members are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per person per year.
- Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.

General Purpose
The City of Commerce City is excited to announce, that our Community Well-Being division is growing. We are seeking a Housing Navigator with experience in program administration duties related to providing supportive services for clients who are experiencing homelessness or at risk. With such a diverse community, the Housing Navigator must be comfortable assisting and providing support to those in poverty and/or those experiencing housing insecurities.
The Housing Navigator will also provide stabilization services to Community Well-Being clients and residents of Commerce City by establishing connections with housing providers, including private landlords, public housing agencies, and local authorities. This position will serve as the liaison to those who are experiencing housing insecurity and demonstrating multiple barriers to achieving and maintaining stable housing.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range for this position is $56, $70,800.39 / annually

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in social work, communication, public relations, marketing, social sciences or a related field a minimum of three (3)years of experience in program administration duties related to providing supportive services for clients who are either homeless or in danger of homelessness.
Experience working with diverse populations and training in trauma-informed care or poverty or homelessness issues are required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Must possess a valid driver's license
