- Conducting fundamental research on life sciences trends to form differentiated views
- Identifying and assessing investment opportunities across different company stages (venture, growth, mature), including private and public equity
- Supporting science/tech, business, financial, legal, and other due diligence workstreams
- Preparing financial models and decks, and recommending deals to the firm's investment committee
- Monitoring portfolio companies to identify value creation, investment, and divestment opportunities
- Developing relationships with investment professionals, management teams, key opinion leaders, and other relevant institutions for origination of new deals
- Bachelor's degree from a top tier academic institution ; ideally in science, engineering, or finance
- Advanced degree candidates are welcome (e.g. MD, PhD, MBA, MPH, BME)
- 4+ years of relevant business experience in the field of life sciences, including investment banking, equity research, strategy consulting, or business development roles
- Demonstrated interest in finance and investing
- Strong analytical capabilities and initiative to learn new skills quickly
- Proven ability to manage priorities and work independently in a professional setting
- Good communication, interpersonal & team skills
- Flexibility to work in a cross-border, multi-cultural, team-based environment

Job Description
Temasek is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join our growing US Life Sciences practice. This is an important role with significant opportunity for progression, and we are interested in individuals that combine a proven passion for the life sciences (scientific/clinical/industry backgrounds welcome) with a robust financial toolkit (e.g. financial modeling and valuation analysis).
