    Summary



    As Clinical Director for the Whole Health Program, you will manage and plan how services are delivered and contribute to the process of strategic planning, influencing and responding to organizational priorities.

    Included responsibility; creating an annual Whole Health System Strategic Plan, identifying Whole Health system development priorities, and working with the Executive Team/Service level chiefs, Associate Chiefs Of Staff, program coordinator and whole health steering committee at VA.

    Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases


    Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)


    Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA


    Insurance:
    Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)


    Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory


    CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)

    Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting

    Scope includes but not limited to:
    Function in lead management role within the Whole Health System. Each member of staff has a reporting relationship, through their line supervisor, to the Clinical Director. Develop and implement measures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the designated areas of responsibility. Develop and execute a Whole Health Business Plan for the medical center. The plan should identify the medical facility mission, goals, objectives and strategies for accomplishment together with related resource implications. The business plan should also be consistent with the VA facility's overall strategic business direction. Develop annual budgetary reports based on quality activity and financial information and projections. Be accountable for resources used, directly and indirectly, by the Whole Health System.

    Promote and develop measures to enable the Director to monitor Whole Health system staff individual performance and to assess clinical outcomes; and addressing performance issues at Director, Team and individual level.

    Meet VA Central Office (OPCC&CT) performance measures and VHA Core Competencies specific for Whole Health.


    Quality Improvement:
    Directs the continuous measurement and improvement of the quality of care provided by the Whole Health Program. Assume a leadership responsibility for the development and implementation of the Whole Health System's performance improvement plan.

    Co-chair the Whole Health Steering Committee and provide oversight to supervisors of 3 elements of Whole Health System (empowerment - pathway, equipping- well-being/self care, and treatment-whole health clinical care).

    Maintain inventory of CIH approaches offered at VHA facility, including gap analysis as it relates to CIH approaches that must be offered by VA/community per Directive 1137.

    Create strategic partnerships with VHA facility program directors and service line chiefs.

    Create strategic partnerships with community organizations to promote health and well being offerings within the community Collaborate with other Whole Health System Directors, VISN leadership, and VA Central Office (OPCC & CT) staff on program development issues.

    Collaborate with VA leadership. Provide strategic clinical input and ensure effective advice to the Service line ACOS, service line chief, and executive team. Advocate for the Whole Health System with VHA leadership and the medical community.


    Education:

    Plan and direct the educational and clinical experience of any potential trainees, including psychology interns and postdocs; medical students, residents, and fellows; or other disciplines assigned to the Whole Health System.

    Supports clinical training and continuing professional development. Keep the Whole Health System team apprised of medical care advances and practice standards. The employee must obtain an maintain clinical privileges and a part time clinical practice in their specialty.


    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
