    Description

    Senior Accountant
    Frisco, Tx

    Job Description
    The position is responsible for reconciling all general ledger accounts and assisting in generating monthly financial reports in accordance with GAAP. The position requires accounting knowledge and working experience of accounting software(s).

    Responsibilities:
    · Review and reconcile monthly general ledger accounts

    · Manage entire cycle of Accounts Payables from checking vendor invoices for accuracy and authorization, processing them for payment, and passing necessary entries in accounting software

    · Manage entire cycle of Accounts Receivables from generating customer invoices through receiving payments and passing necessary entries in accounting software

    · Reconcile Bank Accounts with General ledger

    · Verify and monitor company credit card transactions, process credit card statements for payments, and pass necessary entries in accounting software

    · Verify employee expense reports for accuracy / authorization, process them for payments, and pass necessary entries in accounting software

    · Create and post month end close journal entries for depreciation / amortization / pre-paid expenses

    · Generate monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements

    · Communicate with internal and external auditors and provide supporting documents, back up files, and accounting records

    · Provide support to Head of Accounting for all accounting related requests from parent in India

    · Maintain accurate accounting records and files

    · Assist with information and data submission for local and overseas tax return filings

    · Keep track of company assets and reconcile them with General Ledger

    · Substantiate financial transactions by checking back up documents

    · Secure financial information by completing regular data base backups

    · Prepare ad hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information from accounting software

    · Communicate with vendors, customers, employees, outside consultants as and when needed.

    · Protect company operations by keeping financial information confidential

    · Update and upgrade professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

    · Meet the deadlines for various internal and external reporting

    · Contribute to team effort by being a result oriented team player

    Qualifications:
    · Bachelor's degree in accounting with 5 plus years of relevant work experience

    · CA/CPA preferred but not required

    · Strong working knowledge of accounting software SAP is a MUST

    Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Other MS products
