Description

This Robotic Programmer will wokr with a team of weld technicians and engineers to develop robotic welding processes with support from welding engineers.

They should be able to work safely and be a large advocate for driving culture of zero harm. Will be expected to write robotic welding programs with support from the weld engineering team.

The language is proprietary to the client but can have 2 years of experience in other similar languages supported within heavy manufacturing engineering environments.

Will assist in the design fixturing for robotic welding processes with support from welding engineer, and ensure all welding meets appropriate welding codes with support from welding engineer.

They will work within the scope of lean manufacturing to ensure weld deposition is being maximized.

Writing procedures, reading and interpreting drawings and standards

Medium to heavy plate welding experience

Experience in developing, supporting and programming robotic welding operations in heavy fab environment

Knowledge of Welding and International Codes & Standards
Associates degree (two years of study beyond high school) OR Equivalent Experience

Knowledge in materials and properties

2+ years of experience in Robotic Programming or Robotic Engineering in a heavy manufacturing environment

Ability to adapt to a proprietary programming language similar to PLC or Gcode and then further explore and program within the language for the 2 large robots the client has

2+ years of experience working within automation, integration, and implementation of robotic programming functions
