    Job DescriptionSenior Accountant
    A growing Real Estate company is hiring a Senior Accountant on their team. The Senior Accountant will have high visibility to leadership within the company. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage Intact, working in a fast paced environment, and working for a company that has handled acquisitions.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage and maintain day-to-day accounting operational needs including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense management, and vendor management.
    • Assist with all monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings including account reconciliations, accrual schedules, and journal entries. Track and reconcile related party transactions.
    • Ensure that books are closed in a timely manner, and reconciliations are performed accurately and on time.
    • Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP.
    • Regularly monitor and report cash and funding balances to management
    • Coordinate and propose general and administrative expense payment selections.
    • Review bank activity, and reconciliations within assigned verticals.
    • Process and maintain employee expense reports.
    • Review and post inter-company/related party transactions
    • Maintain all entity debt service and commitment schedules.
    • Assist with monthly draw requests, submit to lenders, and process vendor payments.
    • Assist in financial aspects of loan applications.
    • Advise and alert managers to variances and trends in financial performance which may require management attention.
    • Suggest and implement process & systems improvements to drive efficiency, best practices and automation as the company and department evolves.
    • Assist with developing and maintaining operational budgets and rolling forecasts.
    • Track CPA firm requests, provide client documentation.
    • Review and confirm closing documents shown on the respective tax entity.
    • Prepare and file local tax related returns.
    • Other ad hoc reports and projects as determined by financial management.

    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum 3+ years relevant real estate industry experience
    • Preferred private equity experience
    • At least 6 years of previous experience in the accounting field.
    • CPA is a plus
    • Tangible fixed asset experience
    • Thorough working knowledge of multiple depreciation concepts including TARS
    • Understand the complexity of various leasing and tenant improvement operations and their related input into the accounting system.
