The Center for Pain Management at Wentworth Douglass Hospital is an outpatient interventional spine clinic focused on treating patients for both acute and chronic pain.

We are a busy procedural based clinic, treating 22-25 patients per day. We have a team nursing approach and collaborate with board certified pain management physicians and radiology technicians. Nurses are responsible for preop, intra-op and post-op care of procedural patients, as well as administering moderate sedation.

  • CLINICAL JUDGMENT
  • Appropriately assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care, specific to population served

  • Advances the profession by assisting in clinical education and orientation of other staff and students; may function as preceptor for new staff

  • Participates in selection of and completes all unitspecific competencies
  • Articulates Nursing Sensitive Indicators and quality goals for unit and describes role in accomplishing expectations; describes role and participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
Experience Minimum Required**- Graduate of accredited nursing program with RN licensure.


Experience Preferred/Desired

  • One year RN experience in an Acute Care setting

Education Minimum Required

  • AS, RN program completion.
Complete annual moderate sedation module inclusive of cardiac dysrhythmia review, administered


Education Preferred/Desired

  • BSN or enrollment in BSN program

Special Skills Minimum Required

  • AHA BLS

Licensure and/or Certifications Required

  • Registered Nursing License
