    Integrated Systems Engineer

    to its team.

    The incumbent will join a group of talented Engineers, Scientists, and Innovators with tremendous top-side potential devoted to solving novel technological problems with national defense implications in the fields of Autonomy, Unmanned Marine Vehicles, and Naval Architecture among others.

    South Kingstown, RI, or Ann Arbor, MI

    General Description :
    The ideal candidate will have a mechanical, electrical or computer engineering background.

    The individual will be expected to perform design, development, programming, debugging, and testing functions of embedded software for advanced marine unmanned vehicles.

    This individual needs to possess strong interpersonal/organizational/communication skills, be highly motivated, work independently and in teams, and have strong writing skills to document work and activities.

    Design, development, programming, debugging and testing of embedded software for advanced marine unmanned vehicles including stabilization, navigation, and integration of sensors.

    Programming of microcontrollers, FPGA, and real-time systems.

    Work with project teams to develop, architect, model, and implement algorithms spanning an array of technical areas including vehicle control and automation, integration with COTS sensors and machinery, GNSS docking, and integration with autonomous systems.

    Document work and activities, prepare and present technical analyses and results, support project and program processes, reviews and plans activities.

    Develop models of marine systems and platforms. Validate models against real-world data, including identifying gaps in available data.

    Required Education/Experience/Skills:


    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university and 2+ years' of related experience.

    A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university may substitute for 2 years experience.

    In addition to any degree, industry experience, experience in a professor/advisor's lab or similar experience is required.

    1+ years of experience in embedded software engineering, development, and implementation; algorithm development and analysis; and an understanding of automation of industrial systems.

    1+ years experience in C/C++ programming.
    Experience with Matlab /Python and mathematical modeling techniques for discrete and continuous time systems.
    Experience assembling system hardware, integrating, and tuning systems controls to meet performance targets.
    Strong written and oral communication skills.
    Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and follow-through.

    Other Position Requirements:
    Employment is contingent upon successfully passing an employee background check and post-offer drug screen.
    Must be a U.S Citizen with a SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
