Defense Litigation Attorney
20 year Houston law firm with 30 lawyers is seeking an attorney. This attorney would ideally have 3+ years of litigation experience. The attorney should be comfortable handling a very manageable docket with mínimal supervision. The firm has a team structure and respects a work/life balance.

The lawyer would preferably have experience in civil litigation and insurance defense.

The lawyer should have the communication skills, ability and experience sufficient to defend clients in a variety of civil litigation matters and ability to work both independently and as a member of a defense team.

Responsibilities:

Consult with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary.

Coordinate the case handling with claims personnel.

Argue motions, take effective depositions of lay and expert witnesses.

Attend hearings, mediations, and conduct trials.

Education:

Juris Doctorate and member in good standing of Texas State Bar.

Qualifications:

Minimum of three to five years of experience in civil litigation.

Deposition experience.

Trial experience a plus.

Background in general civil liability litigation.

Insurance defense experience a plus.

Pay:
$106, $128,112.03 per year
