Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a sales associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in finding and purchasing furniture, appliances, and mattresses that meet their needs and preferences. Your goal will be to ensure customer satisfaction, achieve sales targets, and contribute to the overall success of our retail store.

Responsibilities:

- Welcome and engage customers as they enter the store, offering assistance and actively listening to their needs.
- Provide expert advice and product knowledge on furniture, appliances, and mattresses to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Guide and assist customers through the selection process, explaining product features, specifications, and benefits.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, handling complaints, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are properly displayed and labeled.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as sales orders, delivery requests, and customer information forms.
- Follow up with customers post-purchase, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking merchandise and conducting regular stock checks.
- Participate in store promotions, sales events, and product launches to maximize sales opportunities.

Requirements:

- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in furniture, appliances, or mattresses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Knowledge of furniture, appliances, and mattresses, including different styles, materials, and features, is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move furniture or appliances as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Compensation: Minimum $20.00 per hour or commissions which ever is greater.
Location: Oakdale, CA.

Store Hours:
Monday - Saturday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday - 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
