    Description

    Position Title: Senior Structural Engineer

    Location: Annapolis, Maryland, United States

    Description: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Annapolis, MD office.

    Responsibilities
    • Lead structural engineering and project engineering on design projects
    • Create detailed plans for new and rehabilitation bridge designs
    • Conduct engineering design calculations
    • Develop contract specifications, construction cost estimates, and bid documents
    • Supervise a team of structural engineers on design projects
    • Conduct field inspections, document findings, and record measurements
    • Handle QA/QC duties for projects
    • Provide guidance and training to junior engineers
    • Assist in task proposal preparation


    Requirements:
    • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
    • Professional Engineering License
    • Minimum of ten years of experience in transportation projects with a focus on bridge design (preferably in the Mid-Atlantic Region)
    • Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design plan production of bridge projects following Federal and State codes
    • Experience in bridge load ratings
    • Effective team player with the ability to manage small design groups and projects
    • Detail-oriented, goal-driven, self-motivated, and proficient in verbal and written communication
    • Proficiency in developing CAD drawings using Microstation, Open Roads Designer, and AutoCAD
    • Ability to create proposals, schedules, and manage tasks independently
