DUTIES:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Golf Course Manager, the Truck/Tractor Operator Madison Golf Course is responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining trucks and other machinery that are assigned to this department.
- Mowing of grass in the parks and on the golf courses as required.
- Plowing and removing snow.
- Following all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed.
- Supporting all aspects of the Park District's safety program.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience Minimum of two years in operating tractors, trucks, mowing equipment and other machinery used in groundmaintenance. Must hold a valid class CDL drivers license. Teamster membership is required.
Knowledge and Ability
- Thorough knowledge of work involved ingrounds and building maintenance.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Work harmoniously with Park District personnel and the using public.
- Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, tofollow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal andexternal customers.
- Personal Ability to work independently; work record that shows good health and dependability. Neat appearance, pleasing personality and courteous manner.
