• Have over 3 years of Infection Prevention Experience in an Acute Care Hospital setting
• Be knowledgeable about regulatory bodies, such as the Joint Commission

• Manage all aspects of the Infection Prevention Program
• Oversee planning, development, and implementation of operational objectives, goals, and processes
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention policies and procedures to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements
• Handle recruitment, interview, selection, retention, staff development, and performance management
• Develop department budgets and achieve financial goals

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Required Credential(s):
• Certification specializing in Infection Control from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) obtained within 1 Month of hire date
• Licensed Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience

• No additional preferences
