Seeking a medical scribe at a small orthopedic surgery private practice on Manhattan's Upper East Side. The ideal applicant should be pursuing a career in medicine. Prior experience with Electronic Health Records preferred but not required.


Role Responsibilities:

• Documenting all patient medical visits and procedures alongside the physician
• Generating and managing medical documents in the EMR system
• Maintaining an inventory of medical supplies and stocking examination rooms
• Processing medical records requests for review

Hours
Availability to work full-time/part-time


Patient Days:
Mandatory
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 8am-5pm


Non-patient Days: Optional

Tuesday/Thursday:

• Maintaining inventory of medical supplies and stocking examination rooms
• Compiling medical records
• Completing office notes
• Managing PACS system
• Ability to shadow surgeries if interested

Skills:

• Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy
• Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology
• Ability to transcribe medical information quickly and accurately
• Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Types:

Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour


Experience:

• Typing: 1 year (preferred)
• Medical terminology: 1 year (required)
