Job Description**:


L3Harris is looking for a Field Technician to support multiple programs as part of our Flight Test and Field Service team.

You will support a variety of events in a lab setting and in the field.

You will be responsible for providing technical support for various efforts involving ground support systems, aircraft systems and flight testing.

This position requires a mechanically proficient self-starter that is motivated to contribute to mission success.


Essential Functions:


  • Hands on technical support during flight test events
  • Assist engineers with product design, development and testing
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 50% of the time
  • Occasionally work long hours (12+) in hot/cold environments
  • Occasionally work holidays and weekends
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Internal, Commercial and Government
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted or 100 lbs. as part of a twoperson team

Qualifications:


  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Active US DOD Secret Security clearance
  • 2+ years experience in an FSR type role or hands on with hardware

Skills:


  • Active US DOD TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Military experience
  • Aviation / UAS Experience
  • Familiarity with software products such as but not limited too: Microsoft Office, TFTP32, TeraTerm, PuTTY, Notepad++, WinSCP, Filezilla, Winmerge, Google Earth Pro, ArcGIS, Falconview etc.
  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams
  • Experience with OSHA requirements and ESD best practices
  • Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience generating work summary and descrepancy reports
  • Excellent organizational skills
