Position Summary


The MRP Planner with ERP Expertise is responsible for demand management and production planning using advanced ERP software systems to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production.

This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in ERP systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support production schedules and minimize inventory costs.


Pay Rate Ranges:
$80k - $120K


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Responsibilities:


  • Utilize ERP software systems to release shop orders based on material requirements, production schedules, sales forecasts, and inventory targets.
  • Ensure production plan alignment to customer requirements.
  • Review and analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and production plans to determine material requirements and identify any potential shortages or excesses.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and availability of materials to support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels and stock movements in the ERP system to optimize inventory turnover, minimize carrying costs, and maintain adequate safety stock levels.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of shop orders, inventory levels, and material requirements in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with production planning and scheduling teams to adjust production plans and schedules in response to changes in material availability, customer requirements, or other factors impacting production.
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices within the ERP system to optimize inventory management and reduce costs.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on material requirements, inventory status, and supply chain performance to management.
  • Accountability for short and long term planning in IFS

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment
  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering and/or quality and/or fulfillment and/or planning or program manager/sourcing role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP software systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make datadriven decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proactive problemsolving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, inventory control techniques, and supply chain management best practices.
