    Description

    Our partner, one of the leading insurance companies in the United States, is looking for a Software Engineer to join their IT Modernization team, responsible for creating, updating, and managing software applications using the Guidewire Insurance Suite platform. This position calls for a solid grasp of Cloud CI/CD skills and expertise in Guidewire products.

    We provide a flexible work environment where you'll need to be onsite four days a week in Plano, TX.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Design, code, and test intricate technical solutions across various technologies to integrate existing systems and tools.
    • Lead code and design reviews to ensure seamless daily operations and accurate planning.
    • Create complex algorithms to address business requirements.
    • Investigate and resolve challenging application and system issues by overseeing end-to-end troubleshooting.
    • Guide and train engineers on system design, development, and maintenance; Review team members' code.
    • Influence architecture and quality standards, while identifying and measuring improvements across the entire solution.
    • Detect system performance challenges and enhance the solution for optimization.
    • Ensure effective identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of risks associated with business activities in line with risk and compliance policies.

    Your Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • 3 years of software development experience showcasing deep technical knowledge in specific technologies.
    • 4 years of experience in delivering tech solutions throughout all phases of software systems and app development, including leading code/design reviews.
    • Basic knowledge of Java or GOSU and experience in CI/CD development.

    What Makes You Stand Out

    • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud from initial stages to full implementation.
    • Thorough understanding of Guidewire Cloud platform, covering Product Model setup, Entity, Batch processes, REST, Web services Integrations, PCF, Gosu Scripts, and Rules.
    • Ability to build solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter services, custom APIs, and third-party APIs.
    • Proficiency in technologies like Java, Kafka, Spring, Redis, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
    • Capable of explaining complex tech topics to both IT and business audiences at various organizational levels.
