Key Purpose


The Lab Services - Supplies Logistics Technician position is responsible for assuring the logistics duties Lab Supplies Point of Use (POU) program are completed correctly and safely.

This position will work with both ISS employees and the employees of ISS clients. Duties will be dependent on operational needs as outlined by ISS' clients and contracts.


Principle Duties

  • Work with client Lab Managers to establish inventory supply
  • Work with client Lab Managers to establish inventory levels
  • Set up new Point of Use (POU) areas, as needed
  • Utilize client supplied software to manage inventory at POU areas to maintain min / max levels
  • Submit supply orders through client system
  • Perform order status followup with suppliers on open supply orders
  • Identify alternative items for use when primary inventory not available
  • Establish programmatic approach for service delivery
  • Align synergies with Lab Service function personnel to drive efficiencies
  • Document program for service delivery
  • Perform other in scope lab services related duties as assigned
  • Participate in all other Lab Services Support as needed

Required Skills:


  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Lab Services experience in a pharmaceutical or life sciences facility a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Education and Preferred Experience

  • High school diploma/GED or an equivalent number of years of education and lab services experience.
  • Lab Services Support experience a plus
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical SOPs and GMP is a plus

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or
balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic
chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.


ISS offers a competitive compensation package including Benefits, Paid Time Off, and a starting hourly salary of $19 per hour-$20 per hour.
