- Responsible for transporting patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times as nearly as possible, to and from diagnostic and treatment areas.
- Transferring patients safely & efficiently via wheelchair, movable bed, or stretcher.
- Responsible for assuring that patient is properly dressed or gowned for examination.
- Responsible for notifying department concerned if a patient cannot be transported at a time other than scheduled.
- Performs and documents safety checks on all transport equipment.
- Sets a positive and professional atmosphere for patients.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to continuously perform physical demands of the position.
- Successful on-the-job training program or applicable experience.
- Must be able to provide care to all age groups in scope of service.
