Director of Engineering / Director of Software Engineering / Director of Domain Engineering / Domain Lead - Merchandising Platform

Hybrid work in Berlin. Initially a 3-4 month full-time contract with possibility for extension, starting ASAP. Negotiable rate/salary based on experience.

Our client is seeking a Director of Engineering to establish a new domain engineering team.

You will lead a transformation within their technology team, driving innovation and setting high standards for technical expertise. You will oversee a team of engineers, solution architects, and managers, shaping the future of consumer experience through technology. Your role will involve hands-on technical expertise in designing high-traffic systems, as well as a forward-thinking approach to fostering a thriving, inclusive, and results-driven engineering culture.

You will mentor and empower business analysts, domain engineers, and developers, and lead the development of sophisticated products that streamline the merchandising lifecycle. You will also drive the modernization of the technology stack while ensuring seamless delivery of value to consumers. Additionally, you will establish best practices for system architecture and provide strategic leadership in setting engineering goals.
