    We are currently seeking a Data Center Design Manager to provide data center project delivery and leadership capability and assist Regional Science, Industry and Technology business leadership in the growing data center sector.

    ResponsibilitiesLead the effective and efficient delivery of data center projects, managing the performance of the technical team consisting of both internal and external project team resources, in full compliance with corporate standardsHandling client expectations and building client relationshipsAssist in defining project schedules, staffing, and cost targetsIdentify and handle project risksDelivering work to a high standard of quality, client satisfaction and profitabilityAssist Americas Science, Industry and Technology leadership in developing data center business regionally, finding opportunities with current and new clients, developing client relationships and leading major bidsQualifications10 or more years in the delivery of data centers and mission-critical facilitiesDemonstrable project management experience having successfully led multidisciplinary teams on design and/or construction of building and/or infrastructure projects in a fast-paced environmentBachelors degree in EngineeringProfessional Engineering License or ability to obtain this within one year of joining Arup preferredAbility to travel and work on virtual teams across the regionKey AttributesHighly professional, able to develop and sustain the respect of peers and clients alikeAttentive to detail - always seeking quality and excellence in their workCollaborative approach and willingness to work as an integral part of the teamStrong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working with colleagues and clients of all levelsAble to identify stakeholders, determine requirements and expectations and manage their influence on the projectAbility to prioritize effectively, organizing and balancing assigned work in a dynamic environmentSelf-motivated, results-focused, pragmaticRapid, enthusiastic learner who quickly becomes a leading authority on new capabilities and tools and take others on the journeyGood commercial and contractual awarenessStrong client relationship management skills and experienceIntuitive and creative problem solver, able to conceptualize business opportunitiesAble to identify differences and resolve problems or assist in resolving issues.


    Hiring Range:
    The good faith base salary hiring range for this job performed in California is $125,000 and $195,000. Benefits are not included in the base salary range. Summary of benefits are included in this posting with details provided to applicants at the time of interview. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of California will differ.
