Description of Position:

Under the direction of the Director of Culinary Experience, the Culinary Experience coordinator will perform the following duties:

  • Operate as the primary support to the Director and Assistant Director.
  • Coordinate the communication of information to staff, students, and external partners.
  • Oversee training for new Front of house (FOH) employees.
  • Ability to perform projects requiring research and report preparation related to the activities of the organizational unit, which is assigned as needed in collaboration with the Culinary Experiences Director.
  • Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, forms, work orders, and specialized documents related to the organizational unit.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Coordinate staff meetings and other events, including coordinating schedules, scheduling meetings, and rooms, ordering refreshments, and sending invitations in conjunction with the Director of Culinary Experiences.
  • Track agenda items and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Arrange and lead tours of the production kitchen to educate visitors about our sustainability practices, local sourcing, and scratch cooking.
  • Act as the purchasing/coding liaison.
  • Take inventory and purchase office supplies.
  • Act as liaison with other facilities, ground maintenance, and other YC Departments.
  • Coordinate community Eatery information and recruitment activities as needed.
  • Coordinate invoicing, billing, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Maintain and update all required records pertaining to the health department, licensing, and permitting.
  • Coordinate required Yavapai College and other employee training and maintaining updated training records.
  • Provide information to the customers and community through various methods including social media platforms.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and some travel.
  • Additional duties including cashiering may be assigned as necessary.

Minimum Expectations & Requirements:


  • Minimum of two years of general office, clerical, and bookkeeping experience
  • OR equivalent combination of education/experience in office records and communication or related field
  • Interest and or/experience working in food service
  • Proficient in MS Office products, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to practice diplomacy, maintain confidentiality, and continually exhibit professionalism.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service practices.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail on departmental paperwork (proofreading, problemsolving)
  • Knowledge of departmental procedures
  • Experience with Visio, Microsoft Project, and Adobe

Preferred Skills & Abilities:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field
