Description
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTiny's Demolition & Recycling is looking for a hardworking Safety Director to join our team.
The Safety Director will be responsible for the development, implementation, oversight, audit, training, reporting and management of safety protocols and procedures associated with construction projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Update and maintain company safety program.
Implement equipment safety procedures and train crews on how to use them.
Review upcoming projects that may require additional safety procedures.
Create weekly training sessions for entire field staff.
Create incident reports and first reports of injury when employees are injured. Go with employees to initial and follow-up doctor visits, as needed.
Maintain proper OSHA records regarding injuries.
Create near miss and after accident reports.
Visit jobsites to inspect safety measures and make any needed corrections. Create reports for these visits.
Attend Pre-Construction Meetings, as needed.
Manage the safety department.
Requirements
Spanish speaking – strongly preferred, but not required
OSHA-510 Certified – preferred, but not required
In-depth knowledge of
construction/demolition
industry and safety protocols
Great time-management skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be a self-starter.
Excellent Management Skills.
