Continuous Improvement Manager
Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping, welding and assembly manufacturing company primarily serving the automotive market. Our privately held company, founded upon Christian principles, currently employs approximately 600 team members across 4 plant locations.
Primary responsibilities:
- Manage and support a team of specialists to ensure that Continuous Improvement projects are implemented to improve manufacturing quality and efficiency across all 4 locations.
- Work with other managers and their supervisors to identify and focus on Continuous Improvement opportunities within their areas of responsibility.
- Serve as a change agent to challenge existing processes in place. Use data to communicate and support the opportunities that exist.
- Monitor plant layouts and material flow as production requirements change.
- Monitor equipment capacity and drive action items to eliminate concerns.
- Work in conjunction with the management team to create, maintain, assure compliance, and continually improve safety systems, programs, and training in the plant.
- Regularly perform, lead teams to perform, and maintain site risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist in developing and conducting ongoing team member training.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership position.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Leadership style that aligns with Ridgeview Mission Statement and Guiding Principles.
- Passion and discipline to follow well defined processes.
- Demonstrated track record of holding teams accountable in achieving results.
- Ability to influence and facilitate teams, regardless of reporting structure.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Data driven approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Excellent communicator who can understand and deliver information in a clear, open, honest and accurate method.
- Previous experience within operations and an understanding of standard manufacturing systems.
