    JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic

    LOCATION: Milwaukee, 53225

    COMPENSATION: $90-105,000

    OVERVIEW: Lauber Business Partners is collaborating with a leading manufacturer and supplier of wood products for the meat industry in the United States.

    If you are a hands-on maintenance mechanic looking for a small company environment with stability, managerial support, first-shift schedules, weekends off, no travel, a convenient location, competitive pay, annual bonuses based on performance, and a profit-sharing program contributing up to 5% of your yearly salary, we look forward to receiving your application.

    Candidates should have at least five years of experience in heavy industrial repair, specifically in troubleshooting and repairing screw conveyors, bearings, and gearbox installations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform hands-on preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance throughout our 27,000 square foot facility.
    • Utilize expertise in maintenance trades and components including:
      • Welding
      • Motor troubleshooting and replacement
      • Fabrication
      • Gearbox and bearing maintenance/repair/installation
      • Lubrication
      • Pump and screw conveying systems repair
      • Mechanical maintenance
      • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting
    • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various mechanical components and systems.
    • Observe mechanical devices in operation, listen to their sounds to identify issues, and dismantle to access and replace defective parts.
    • Inspect parts for imperfections, test device performance, and operate standard maintenance tools.
    • Document work completed and conditions found using maintenance software when necessary.
    • Collaborate with vendors, peers, and management to enhance facility operations and cultivate a team-focused environment.
    • Operate and troubleshoot mobile equipment like forklifts, loaders, and yard trucks.
    • Adhere to safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, initiate purchase orders, interpret work instructions, and uphold inventory of key components to reduce downtime.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 5 years of hands-on millwork experience showing advanced understanding of machines and systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, and screw conveying equipment.
    • Welding experience and certification, knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems, safe operation of repair tools and equipment, possession of a valid driver's license, basic computer skills.
    • Applicants are provided with tools but are encouraged to utilize personal tools for routine maintenance and repairs.
    • An associate's degree is advantageous but not mandatory, ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment issues.
