Sterilization Technician - Wisconsin Rapids, United States - Wisconsin River Orthopaedics, Ltd

Description

• Perform sterilization procedures to ensure medical equipment and instruments are safe for patient use.
• Follow established protocols for cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, packaging, and sterilizing medical supplies.
• Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
• Assist with OR turnover including cleaning of the operating room and opening of sterile supplies and instrumentation.
• Unpack boxes and put away sterile supplies.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in sterile processing preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting or sterile processing role is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment while maintaining quality standards.
