    Embedded Linux Engineer


    We are seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer to join the client's innovative team and making a difference on high-impact projects.

    This role will leverage your expertise in Linux kernel, CPU architecture, and device drivers. If you enjoy being the Linux expert within the Engineering team and have experience with layers and recipes using Yocto as well as porting distributions to new platforms, this is the perfect opportunity for you

    As an Embedded Linux Engineer, you will:
    Design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux systems, including kernel, drivers, and board support packages.
    Configure and optimize Linux for various CPU architectures and devices.
    Develop and maintain layers, recipes, and patches using Yocto Project.
    Collaborate with hardware engineers for hardware-in-the-loop integration and testing.
    Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues.
    Maintain documentation and source control using Git.


    Position requirements:
    5+ years of embedded Linux experience
    Proven expertise in Linux kernel internals and CPU architecture.
    Extensive experience with C/C++ programming in an embedded Linux context.
    Demonstrated proficiency with Yocto.
    Extensive experience with Git and general device driver development.
    Experience creating Docker container images
    Solid understanding of embedded systems configuration, development, and debugging.
    Experience with bootloader, board support packages, and hardware-in-the-loop integration.
    Knowledge of networking protocols and communication interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C).
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    Please note this is an onsite position at the client's Fairfax County, VA office.
    Must be a US citizen, Green Card, or current H1-B holder.
