    Job Description

    Purpose:
    The Permit/Construction Coordinator is responsible for coordinating permit submittal, tracking and issuance and acts as a liaison between Minto and current outsourced permitting companies. Performs a wide variety of administrative support functions. Performs other related construction office duties as assigned.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
    • Coordinates permit submittals, corrections and pick-ups and tracking with current outsources.
    • Resolves issues from municipalities, architects, engineers and field staff.
    • Works closely with Sales Administrator on New Home contracts to request documentation needed for permit submittal.
    • Processes and distributes color selections, change orders and new home start packages.
    • Maintains office records and files.
    • Generates construction reports and schedules.
    • Inputs and tracks information on the computer in relation to the progress of a particular construction site.
    • Processes invoices for architects.
    • Interacts with the building department on a daily basis or as needed.
    • Provides assistance to the trade partners on construction related issues.
    • Creates and maintains tracking logs.
    • Assists purchasing with contracts and other administrative responsibilities.
    • Assists Construction Superintendents and vendors with administrative issues.
    • Sets up utility accounts, FPL, TECO and water.
    • Establishes and maintains communication between all departments in Minto Communities Florida.
    • Exhibits and maintains the highest degree of professionalism in the performance of all related duties.
    • Provides assistance to other departments when requested.
    • Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management.
    Technical competencies:
    Education: A High School Diploma is required; a College Diploma is an asset.

    Experience: A minimum three to five (3-5) year's relevant experience in the construction industry.
