Technical Accountant
6+Month Contract
Urbandale, IA (Onsite)
Primary Job Duties:

Prepare consolidation processes, including financial statements (10%).
Complete journal entries and associated documentation (40%).
ssist in year-end audit preparations (10%).
Handle sales and use tax returns for assigned entities, including reconciliations (20%).
Utilize computer-based systems for reports, reconciliations, and journal entries (15%).
Undertake special projects as required (5%).

Performance Expectations:

Maintain confidentiality of company information.
Complete tasks within established time frames with a high degree of accuracy.
Prepare reports with attention to detail and accuracy.
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Foster effective working relationships within the department and company.
Consistently attend work and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant policies, codes, and regulations.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Four or more years of accounting experience, emphasizing general ledger entry and reconciliation.
Proficiency in applying generally accepted accounting principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; Oracle experience a plus.
Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
