About the Role:


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Full-time in-office position in Lower/Downtown Manhattan.
  • Conduct new employee onboarding, and prepare, process, or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, promotions, immigration, or benefit enrollments using Paylocity.
  • Answer HRrelated inquiries from employees and supervisors including complex and sensitive matters.
  • Maintain and update HR documents and policies and remain uptodate with relevant laws.
  • Follow up with employees to ensure they provide the necessary documents or return the company's assets.
  • Administer employee benefit plans, open enrollment, and qualifying life events (FMLA, PFL, Disability, Immigration Laws).
  • Assist managers and HR staff with employee relations.
  • Learn about the company immigration processes, assist with communication and documentation, and track immigration deadlines.
  • Coordinate communication and meetings among the HR team.
  • Perform other HR duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 7 years of total work experience; 2 years of work experience as an HR Generalist.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with New York HR laws.
  • Excellent adaptability, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Able to work as a member of a team and independently.
  • Experience with HR systems; Paylocity preferred.
  • Preferred experience as an HR DepartmentofOne.
  • Preferred experience in the A/E/C industry.

Estimated Annual Compensation:

$62,400 - $72,800
