Main Purpose of Job:

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to provide psychosocial treatment and services to children and families of the school-based health centers.

This position will support the mission of SMCHD in promoting a healthy community in St. Mary's County by responding to the overwhelming need for expanded behavioral health services for children in St. Mary's County.

This position will also provide comprehensive professional clinical assessment, referral/coordination of care, direct treatment, case management, advocacy, crisis intervention and other services to persons and families presenting with emotional, behavioral related types of problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners under the licensing requirements for Social Workers.

Experience:

Two years of experience rendering clinical social work services in a health care or treatment setting subsequent to the receipt of an approved Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
