    JOB SUMMARY
  • Oversees the day to day coordination of arts/crafts activities and sports/games programming. Possessing good leadership skills, patience, trustworthiness, responsibility, and enjoy working with children and other staff members is a priority.
    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
  • Organizes supplies for site activities. Implement lesson plan for daily activities (age appropriate)
  • Create themed activities
  • Follow all administrative responsibilities.
  • Help implement sports, tournaments, music, drama, etc.
  • Working with other camp staff members to plan and coordinate camp events.
  • Leading and supporting campers as they participate in ageappropriate activities.
  • Monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents.
  • Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment.
  • Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to parents and camp staff.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Play and engage with the children.
  • Maintains attendance of assigned group on fieldtrips and supervise children on bus and at fieldtrip site
  • Greet parents and interact with them as necessary
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by site manager, day camp director and assistant

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • College graduate with education back ground preferred or high school
- graduate with minimum requirement.
  • At least 2 years working with children, ages 612, in a structured setting such as another day camp, youth groups, boy/girl scout leader, day care leader, etc.
  • Knowledge of games and art activities
  • Ability to "switch up" if a current plan is not receptive.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Must be an excellent problem solver and solve issues in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to discipline appropriately and mediate situations.
  • Must be friendly, active, and like to interact and play with children of all ages.
  • Support others through teamwork, dedication and guidance in order to achieve the completion a task or activity.
  • Must have complete knowledge, or proven ability to learn, the rules and regulations of the city program and Child Safety Policy.
